The Copenhagen Ministry of Balboa proudly presents the fourth Copenhagen Slow Balboa Festival (CSBF)! ✨

💃 What’s in store: Two days of classes with the legendary teachers and dancers Solen & Laurent from Paris, France, plus evening parties on Friday and Saturday with live bands! Sunday wraps up with a cozy tea dance.

📍 Venue: A beautiful ballroom at YMCA Amager, Oliebladsgade 7, Copenhagen S — just 390 m from Amagerbro metro station, so it’s easy to reach no matter where you stay in the city.

📚 Levels: Two levels offered — one focused on moves & variations and one on technique — both aimed at dancers with prior Slow Balboa workshop or weekly class experience.

🎵 Evenings feature roughly 50% Slow Balboa music mixed with regular Balboa and Lindy — perfect for newer Slow Bal dancers too!

Copenhagen Slow Balboa Festival 2026 – door tickets for sale

With our new and much bigger venue (see address below) we will sell up to 70 tickets in the door both Friday and Saturday. You can also buy a full Party Pass in the door.

Our tea dance to DJ on Sunday 18-21 has free admittance.

Across four mixed-level sessions on Pure Bal, Bal-Swing, Slow Balboa, and ‘Transitioning & Mixing It Up’ – 8 hours of classes in total – you’ll have the chance to learn directly from dancers who shape the global Balboa scene.

The workshop also entails a party Friday, September 19, with a taster by Katti & Johan Widerdal and featuring Flying Jazzman Sextet – and a cosy Sunday Tea Dance with live music by Jeppe Zacho Trio.

All Balboa Copenhagen welcomes Balboa dancers of almost all levels. To get the most out of it, you should feel comfortable with Balboa basics across all tempos – slow to fast – such as the Balboa basic steps, Come Around, Throw Out, and Out & Ins.
